fotomonitor.info website is dedicated to photography as a profession and serves the whole community of professional and aspiring photographers in the Czech Republic as well as admirers of art photography.
Its main emphasis lies in the spheres not covered by local photographic schools nor by professional associations, not even by other Internet sites in this country – copyright and intellectual property (IP) rights, business of photography, fees for both commissioned photography and stock photo sales, and other issues connected with practising this art form.
fotomonitor.info also brings up-to-date information to its Czech audience about developments in IP protection elsewhere in the world, about activities of professional photographic bodies in other countries, about products and services that can help all kinds of pro photographers (photojournalists, architectural photographers, portrait photographers, creative photographers, studio owners, etc.) to solve their day-to-day or even strategic business problems or ease their professional life.
A database of photographic exhibitions held in the Czech Republic since 1998 is maintained on this site in which many photographers from other countries are featured. It contains more than eleven thousand entries, and dozens of new exhibitions are being added every month. You can try its search function to see whether your preferred artist’s or your own exhibition has been included. If not, past exhibitions can be added for a modest fee. New basic entries about exhibitions to come are provided free of charge; however, the information about who, where and when can be enhanced by attaching a picture, a logo, an abstract, etc. to the entry. You can see our price list for providing these services.
Any company active in the field of photography that aims to address professional photographers in the Czech Republic can advertise their products or services on fotomonitor.info website. In addition to classic web formats (see this page), PR articles can be translated into Czech and presented to our audience. Please contact us with further details.
Although this site does not have any content in English at present, we are prepared to co-operate with any foreign party interested in the Czech professional photographic scene, and are ready to post articles in English as well.
